It has been estimated by Health and Safety Executive (HSE) that 2 million people in the UK are exposed to unacceptable noise levels at work, as they continue to emphasise just how important wearing hearing protection is in noisy workplaces. Noise-induced hearing loss occurs when the delicate structures inside the inner ear become permanently damaged due to exposure to loud noise.
