Accreditations
At Healthscreen UK, our accreditations are central to how we operate. They are not add-on or marketing claims, but an independent confirmation that our occupational health services meet recognised UK standards for safety, quality, and governance. We currently hold two key accreditations that reflect the environments we work in and the expectations placed on our services:
SEQOHS Accredited
Occupational health service quality
RISQS Accredited
Rail & safety-critical infrastructure
SEQOHS Accreditation
We are SEQOHS Accredited (Safe, Effective, Quality Occupational Health Service), the UK’s nationally recognised accreditation scheme for occupational health providers. SEQOHS accreditation is designed to give employees independent assurance that an occupational health service is operating to clearly defined standards. These standards assess not only clinical delivery, but also how services are governed, monitored, and continuously improved.
What SEQOHS accreditation covers
SEQOHS standards are structured around key areas that reflect how occupational health services function in practice, including:
Clinical governance and accountability
Clear leadership, responsibility, and oversight of occupational health services.
Safe and effective service delivery
Evidence-led practice supported by appropriate processes and trained professionals.
Confidentiality and data protection
Secure handling of occupational health records and clear information governance.
Communication and reporting
Transparent communication with employers and appropriate employee-facing information.
Quality assurance and continuous improvement
Ongoing review of service performance to maintain and improve standards over time.
SEQOHS accreditation confirms that these elements have been independently assessed against published standards, rather than relying on internal declarations.
What SEQOHS means for employers
For employers, working with SEQOHS-accredited occupational health provider offers reassurance that:
- Services are delivered responsibly and consistently.
- Governance and quality processes are in place.
- Confidentiality is taken seriously.
- Standards are maintained beyond first assessment.
It is widely recognised across both the public and private sectors and is often used as a benchmark when selecting an occupational health provider.
RISQS Accredited
We are also an approved supplier under the RISQS (Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme), which applies to organisations working within the UK rail and infrastructure sectors. RISQS approval is required for suppliers operating in environments where safety, assurance and compliance are critical. It proves that an organisation meets sector-specific expectations around quality, governance, and risk management.
What RISQS approval covers?
RISQS approval assess a supplier’s suitability to work within rail and infrastructure settings by reviewing areas such as:
- Compliance with safety and assurance requirements
- Suitability for safety-critical environments
- Quality management systems
- Risk awareness and operational controls
For occupational health providers, RISQS approval confirms that services can be delivered in line with the expectations placed on rail and infrastructure organisations.
Why RISQS matters.
For employers operating within rail or regulated infrastructure sectors, RISQS approval is often a non-negotiable requirement. It provides confidence that supplier understand the risks involved and are capable of working within highly regulated, safety-critical environments. Our RISQS approval enables Healthscreen UK to support organisations where occupational health assessments and fitness-for-work services must meet strict industry standards.
Why These Accreditations Matter Together
Holding both SEQOHS accreditation and RISQS approval reflects the breadth and responsibility of the environments we support. Together, they demonstrate that Health Screen UK:

Is suitable for safety-critical and regulated sectors
Delivers services with consistency, confidentiality, and accountability
For employers, this provides clarity and confidence when selecting an occupational health provider, particularly where compliance, assurance, and workforce safety are priorities.
